Rahul Gandhi
A leader is a person who guides others towards a common goal, showing the way by example, and creating an environment in which all sections of the society feel actively involved in the entire process. A leader is not the boss of the team but, instead, the person who is committed to carrying out the mission of the Venture. If these words define a true leader we can certainly consider the young Rahul Gandhi is a true leader for the future.
Rahul Gandhi was born on June 19, 1970 & is an Indian Politician cum member of the Indian National Congress. Son of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi, this young and dynamic political leader has seen his entire family struggling and sacrificing lives for India. Rajiv Gandhi was assassinated by Tamil Tigers in 1991 and grandmother and former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi was brutally assassinated in 1984. Rahul Gandhi's great grandfather Pt. Jawahar lal Nehru who was the first Prime Minister of India has also sacrificed a lot during the freedom movement against the British.
Since Sonia Gandhi became the Congress President and Rahul Gandhi became active, the Congress party seems to be going towards a big change. Rahul Gandhi believes that only if the leaders live their lives just like the poor they can understand the needs and requirements of the common man. Now the Congress has got a youth leader in Rahul Gandhi who, instead of being intoxicated by the power, has capability to follow the footsteps of Mahatma Gandhi. Rahul Gandhi spends night in dalits’ homes, visits villages anywhere he goes and likes to mingle with the common people so that he could understand how a poor, dalit Indian person leads his life.
Rahul Gandhi, rightly presented the fact that India can achieve much through its young blood. Sure, it is an uphill task for Rahul Gandhi. Yet, like his father, he will surely cross all hurdles. If this move is replicated by other parties it can create a revolution. If the youth join hands they can definitely lead India to a corruption-less, violence-less, peaceful future. Let the youths, irrespective of party lines, come forward and lead India into a glorious future and let the country take Rahul Gandhi as an example.
